    Christy Ann Conlin is a bestselling novelist, essayist, speech writer, ghost writer, editor, motivational speaker and educator.  Her writing has appeared in newspapers, magazines, anthologies and journals in Canada and the United States. She holds a MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and an Education Degree from Acadia University.  She works with a broad range of clients in a creative capacity, providing writing services, writing workshops, coaching and mentoring.

  • Alison Garwood-Jones

    Toronto, Ontario

    Alison Garwood-Jones is an award-winning writer, blogger and a former editor with Elle Canada and Viva magazines. Her blog, "Society Pages," explores her take on human nature and was nominated in the "life" category of the 2013 Canadian Weblog Awards. Alison was also recently cited as a favourite blogger by BrazenCareerist.com, a Washington D.C.- based work-related website for "next- generation professionals" profiled by 60 Minutes. Through her feature writing and media work, she has built a steady business doing social media workshops and digital consulting for corporate clients and solopreneurs. Starting in the fall of 2014, Alison will be an instructor in Digital Strategy and Communications Management at the University of Toronto (SCS).

    Before becoming a journalist and social media strategist, Alison was a museum intern and fellow at the Art Institute of Chicago, The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, France, as well as a freelance curator at her hometown gallery, The Art Gallery of Hamilton. This was followed by a three-year stint in film when Alison worked as a historical consultant and writer with the Emmy Award-winning Devine Entertainment on their artist biopics that aired on HBO and PBS. Alison has teamed up with Devine again on their MacCap Learning Systems, an ed-tech start-up funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

    After going digital, Alison revived her love of illustration. Her drawings, published on her Wordpress blog "Society Pages" and her Tumblr blog "iArt," have garnered the praise of legendary graphic designer Chip Kidd and illustrator Tom Bachtell of The New Yorker.

  • Malwina Gudowska

    London, United Kingdom and Calgary, Alberta

    Malwina Gudowska is an award-winning journalist who contributes to a variety of online and print publications. After a stint as an associate editor for Avenue, Calgary’s city magazine, she was the inaugural Alberta editor for FASHION before launching the Calgary edition of VitaminDaily.com. She has also moulded impressionable minds as an instructor at the University of Calgary and often appears on television and radio providing commentary on lifestyle trends. In addition to freelance writing, she is also currently a social media writer at The Net-A-Porter Group.

  • David Israelson

    Toronto and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

    David Israelson is a well-known writer, editor, manager and non-practising lawyer — known for his ability to analyze complex issues and make them easy to understand.

    David has worked at the Toronto Star, as environment reporter, housing reporter, business writer and editorial writer. From 1990 to 1993 he was Western Europe Bureau Chief, based in London. His longer works include two books and an academic paper on energy policy. In 2011-12 he was Senior Writer for Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty. David is Principal of Eon Communications and Research. He is a dual Canada/U.S. citizen, a committed volunteer and a musician.

    A syndicated travel columnist, Ilona Kauremszky writes for major publications in North America, Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom.     Jessica has spent most of the last decade reporting for The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. She has worked out of bureaus across Canada, the United States, Haiti and Afghanistan. Jessica’s newspaper background has given her proficiency in a wide range of subject and refined an ability to speedily develop expertise in new areas, particularly on tight deadlines. She is a skilled researcher.
