  • Barbara K. Adamski

    Barb is a writer, editor, and certified proofreader. She's written for several magazines, trade publications and websites and has written and recorded for CBC Radio. Her editing and proofreading experience comprises academic and marketing materials, corporate newsletters, audio recordings, novels, and non-fiction books, including several ebooks published by the CWG. Barb has a B.A. in French Literature, a diploma in professional writing and editing, and an M.A. in Integrated Studies (specializing in cultural studies). She also speaks Japanese.

  • David Israelson

    Toronto and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

    David Israelson is a well-known writer, editor, manager and non-practising lawyer — known for his ability to analyze complex issues and make them easy to understand.

    David has worked at the Toronto Star, as environment reporter, housing reporter, business writer and editorial writer. From 1990 to 1993 he was Western Europe Bureau Chief, based in London. His longer works include two books and an academic paper on energy policy. In 2011-12 he was Senior Writer for Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty. David is Principal of Eon Communications and Research. He is a dual Canada/U.S. citizen, a committed volunteer and a musician.

  • Jessica Leeder

    Jessica has spent most of the last decade reporting for The Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. She has worked out of bureaus across Canada, the United States, Haiti and Afghanistan. Jessica’s newspaper background has given her proficiency in a wide range of subject and refined an ability to speedily develop expertise in new areas, particularly on tight deadlines. She is a skilled researcher. Her success in translating writing assignments into large-scale multimedia entities, like her Emmy Award winning Behind the Veil (2009) and her National Newspaper Award for Project Jacmel (2010), reflects her talent for transforming ripe subjects into strong, coherent messages. She is adept at getting the most out of a promising subject by meting out its most powerful elements across an array of complimentary formats.

    In addition, Jessica works in both short and long-form narratives, structural and basic copy editing, and copywriting for accuracy, continuity of subject and voice. Her most recent projects include researching and writing a corporate ebook for oDesk.com, a California company that is the world’s largest online platform designed to connect freelance contractors with employers.  She has also recently written about a new wave of direct marketers for Report on Business Magazine, alternative therapies, pregnancy and ADHD for Today’s Parent Magazine.

    Brooke Lockyer has been writing professionally for almost a decade. She began her career in 2005 penning advertorial copy for a Manhattan ad agency, and was soon contributing freelance articles to national and international magazines. Specializing in lifestyle and arts coverage, she recently had the pleasure of profiling up-and-coming and established jewellery designers, interviewing quirky and obsessive collectors, and reviewing fashion apparel and beauty products for Flare, House & Home, and Globe Style Advisor. Brooke has parlayed her extensive fashion, design, and cultural knowledge into corporate writing projects on a variety of topics, including an orthodontist’s transformative office makeover, hairstyling tools for industry insiders, and the disputed origins of a popular cocktail for the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.

  • Anna-Kaisa Walker

    Toronto, Ontario

    Anna-Kaisa is a Toronto-based writer, researcher and editor. Born in Montreal, she has a Master’s degree in journalism from New York University, and in her five years as a freelancer, she has contributed a wide variety of work to Canadian, U.S. and international publications.
